Privacy Policy
Trust matters on the table, and it matters here too. This page explains what this website collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Effective date: [Launch date, 2026]
The short version
- I only collect what you choose to send me: a message, or your name and email for the monthly letter.
- This website never asks for health information. Your intake form is handled by my booking system.
- I don’t sell or rent your information, and I don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
- You can unsubscribe anytime, and you can ask me to see, correct, or delete what this website has about you. Client records are kept separately, as required.
What I collect
When you send a message. The contact form asks for your first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), and your message. It comes to me by email and is also stored on this website.
When you sign up for the monthly letter. The signup form asks for your first and last name and email address.
When you visit. Like every website, the server that hosts this site keeps basic technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. These help keep the site running and secure.
Your client record is separate
This website never asks for health information. Please don’t send health details through the contact form; we can talk about them in person.
Booking, your intake form, and my session notes are kept in Noterro, a secure, HIPAA-compliant system for client records. That information stays there and never passes through this website. The one exception: if you say yes to the monthly letter on your intake form, I add your name and email to my list. Nothing else from your intake form is shared. See Noterro’s privacy policy.
Your client record is a professional record. I keep it confidential, and I keep it for as long as I’m required to, even after you stop booking sessions.
How I use it
- To reply to your message.
- To send the monthly letter, if you’ve signed up.
- To keep this website running and secure.
I don’t sell, rent, or trade your information. I share it only with the services that help me run this website, and only as much as they need: my web host, the email service that delivers the monthly letter, and the secure cloud storage that holds my website backups.
The monthly letter
You can sign up on this website or by saying yes on your intake form. If you sign up on the website, you’ll get an email asking you to confirm, and nothing else arrives until you do. If you said yes on your intake form, I add you to the list myself. The letter comes once a month, and every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
My subscriber list is kept on this website, not with an outside marketing company.
Cookies and visitor statistics
This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. To see which pages are helpful, I count visits with a tool that runs on this website and doesn’t use cookies. It doesn’t follow you to other websites.
My author photo on blog posts loads from Gravatar, a service run by Automattic. Like any website delivering an image, Gravatar receives your IP address. See Automattic’s privacy policy.
Do Not Track. Because this site doesn’t track you across other websites, it works the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Links to other websites
This site links to other websites, including 4QBoundaries.com, the practitioners on my Resources & Referrals page, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Each has its own privacy practices, so please read theirs when you visit.
How long I keep it, and keeping it safe
I keep messages as long as I need them to reply and for my records. Subscriber information stays until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it.
This website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and I take reasonable steps to protect what you share. No website can promise perfect security, but I treat your information with care.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the monthly letter at any time with the link in any email. You can also ask me to see, correct, or delete the information this website has about you, such as your messages and your newsletter details. Just send me an email or a text.
Your client record works differently. You can ask to see it or to correct something in it, but I can’t delete it on request, because I’m required to keep it.
This website isn’t meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If I change how this website handles your information, I’ll update this page and the effective date at the top.
